The day PUMSA met Omerelu!

We’d prefer to tag this ‘high-point no. 1’(if that’s suitable enough) as there were many high points as regards this year’s Health week. So we took the bull by the horns and made our way to Omerelu community situated in Kelga, Rivers state.

If you are wondering what the bull is in this case, wait till you find out. It was an overwhelming turnout of over 500 villagers in and around Omerelu (who won’t like free health care?).Different activities spanning from Health talks (on topics like cervical cancer, smoking ,alcoholism, breastfeeding, hand-washing etc.),HIV screening, blood grouping and genotyping, vital signs, urinalysis, health counselling, drug administration and so much more! Huge Thanks to everyone who made this happen, our sponsors, LOC chairman, outreach supervisor, Doctors, medical students, health care personnel at Omerelu health centre, and of course Omerelu community itself!! ‘A healthier Nigeria starts with US’.
